Getting in the UCs?

I'm a senior right now and I'm deciding which UCs I should apply to. I really want to get into UCSB, UCI, UCR, UCD, UCLA, and UCSD. But my 10-11 GPA is 3.26 and my SAT score is 1280. I know they're pretty low but do you guys think I can get in to any of these with great ECs and a very good essay? Please help.

Two most important factors for acceptance at the UC’s are GPA and SAT/ACT scores. Average UC GPA for all the UC’s except UCSC/UCR/UCM is a 4.0+ and SAT scores are at a minimum 1900+. With your current GPA and SAT score, you have no chance at any of the Mid-Upper Tier UC’s and a slim chance at UCSC (GPA 3.89 SAT 1800+), UCR (GPA 3.77 SAT 1600+) and UCM (GPA 3.61 SAT 1500+). I believe an outstanding essay can over come a lower than average test score or GPA, but your SAT is really not competitive at all. Any chance at a retake???

If you are in-state California, you need to look at the Cal States or Privates, where your GPA and SAT would be within range for an acceptance. You should first consider your local in-service area Cal State where you are given priority, then others such as Monterey Bay, East Bay, Humboldt, Channel Islands, San Marcos.
