getting into msu

im looking to transfer to Michigan State whenever possible, im currently at detroit mercy, went there for the direct admit to nursing but i switched to a biology major. Since i switched i really didnt care about my nursing classes anymore and didnt attend many classes the rest of the semester. I think i ended around a 1.2 could be lower. I know i have the ability to get a 4.0 next semester, i did pretty well in high school, ended with an accumulative 4.2, so im just wondering if ill be able to get in my sophomore year if im looking at around a 2.6 overall, i know they want a 3.0 or higher but will they take into consideration the huge jump i made? i have a ton of extracurricualrs as well both in hs and college.
