Getting into Northeastern?

Hi! I’m a junior in high school and super interested in northeastern University, it’s my number one.

Do you think I’d be able to get in?
I’m ranked 3rd in my class, all A’s and everything. I want to major in Biochemistry, and will have taken AP Biology, AP Chem, and AP Physics by the time I graduate. I’ll have AP Calculus AB and BC, AP human geography, AP Comparative Government, AP language and Comp, AP lit and comp, and possibly AP world history.

For extra curricular I’m in NHS, President of an activist group at my school, played Varsity soccer throughout high school. I have a decent amount of volunteer work though, probably like 25 hours a year but nothing really consistent.

I took the SAT once and got an 1850, but I’m taking the ACT and my subject tests (bio and math 2) in June and the SAT in September to try to bring those scores up.

What are my chances?

Thank you!

Your GPA and class selections are really good for NE, but your GPA is a little low. I’d try to bring it up to at least a 2000 and try to get a 29 on the act. If you can get those I’d say you’ll have a really good chance of getting in.

They don’t require subject tests though, I’m not sure if they will take them or not.

The mid 50% for enrolled students in 2014 was:

ACT 31-33
SAT 2020-2190
