Getting into Park School of Communications vs. Getting into Other Programs

Hello. I have applied to Ithaca College, and upon researching some of their stats I deemed myself a competitive applicant for the school. Unfortunately what I failed to factor in was that being renowned for their communications program, the stats of accepted applicants for this would be higher, leaving me nervous. My question is, how much harder is it to get into Park than to get into other programs (excluding music and PT)? Like are we talking 3.9 unweighted GPAs, breaking 2000 on SATs, and founding a charity in order to get in? Or is it just that applicants are typically on the upper end of the scales given? Some estimated stats of what would be "competitive", or what you had when you got in would be much appreciated! :)

I’m sure you’ll be fine! A lot of kids get accepted into Park with a wide range of stats.

I got in with approximately a 4.19 weighted, 2390 SAT. Lots of journalism and academic ECs and awards. They gave me the Presidential Scholarship and I’m assuming it had to do with my stats, but a bunch of my friends got in with lower stats and they got good money too.

Hope to see you next fall!

Not sure if you’re still looking for answers on this, but - I got in Early Action a few weeks ago with about a 3.2 GPA and a 26 ACT for Film at the Park School. Good luck to you!
