What are my chances of getting into Penn State University Park, Rutgers New Brunswick, UCLA, NYU, University of New Haven, Boston University, Rochester Institute of Technology?

Shoe in

Pshhhhh you’re so in I got into penn state university park, rutgers , university of new haven & interview with NYU don’t know when I hear back but I think I got in & my SAT were lower than yours. The rest of them ask for same stats as the others so you’ll be a great candidate good luck!

You’re into all of them FOR SURE, but UCLA and NYU. At UCLA, you have a shot, but your EC’s aren’t super impressive (participating in relay for life for one day isn’t really a big deal). However, they’re decent and you have a leadership position. I think that while UCLA and NYU are both definitely matches, you’re going to have to write killer essays.

Penn State University Park, Rutgers New Brunswick, Boston University, Rochester Institute of Technology = likely to very likely
UCLA, NYU = reaches
University of New Haven= academic safety (run the Net Price Calculator to see if its price would be within budget)

PSU, Rutgers, UCLA are public universities; you’re certainly out of state for 2 of them, so run the net price calculators and bring the results to your parents. Can they pay the very expensive out of state cost, with no scholarship/financial aid (public universities keep their financial aid for in-state residents, at least at these universities).

Thank you all!
