Getting into UBC

Hi, I am at a little bit of a dilemma here I am a Canadian citizen and I am graduating from an American school in Washington state. I really am interested in getting into UBC but the issue is my cumulative GPA. The first two years of high school I was a terrible student I made a lot of mistakes and I actually failed a class Algebra 1 Semester 2 to be exact. I went to summer school and got that credit back. During my third year of high school I decided what am I going to do with my life so I worked my ass of and got really good grades mostly 4.0's one 3.7 and I got an A in Algebra 2 Semester 2 after studying really hard. The time to apply to universities is coming my current cumulative GPA is a 3.3 and I really performed well on the SAT and got a 2200 and am planning on taking it again and trying to get a higher score. My junior year and current senior year I have a really heavy course load Junior year I had two IB classes history and English along with general chemistry my senior I have four IB classes Gen chem was easy so I am currently doing IB chem 2 along with IB psych zero hour and a biochem class so I have a really heavy course load. My question is can I get into UBC science or engineering with these grades I also have recommendation letters one from the teacher who failed me in algebra 1 I got an A in her class for pre clac so her letter explains a lot about my turn around I also volunteer at a hospital and am very extracurricular involved thank you again for listening.

The SAT isn’t a problem for UBC, and ECs either. Upward trend helps, since UBC, as with most Canadian colleges, puts more weight on the later years.

UBC engineering: Match

So my GPA is not a problem as long as I exhibited that upward trend thanks.

i think it is a match.Apply anyway~
