Hi everyone!

I'm an international student (U.S.A) and I currently am a senior in Florida. I'm a Canadian citizen and really looking into attending UBC (University of British Columbia - Vancouver) for future studies beginning in the Fall 2014 term.

I have a couple of questions and would like people to chance me.
I've read that they usually look at 11th and 12th grade marks so I'll be listing those only, please keep in mind that I'm a US student.
I am applying to the Computer Science program at UBC.

General information:
Class Ranking: 65/642 (plan on increasing)
Cumulative GPA (unweighted): 3.0769
Academic Core GPA: 3.4561
Weighted Cumulative GPA: 4.7083

11th grade classes along with semester grades:
AP Microeconomics (B) -- online
AP English Literary (C and B)
IB Spanish 4 (B+ and A)t
IB Calculus (C+ and C) [I did get a 5 on the IB exam though]
AP Biology (B and B)
AP Chemistry (B+ and A)
IB TOK (B+ and B)
AP Euro History (A and A)

Yes, I'm in the IB program.

12th grade classes along with PREDICTED semester grades:
AP Computer Science (A) and (B on midterm)
IB English HL (A) and (A on midterm)
IB Spanish (A) and (B on midterm)

I know I have a lot of B's on my predictions but I'm being realistic here.

Other than that my test scores:
SAT: 1630
ACT: 23
I took the ACT the past weekend and expect a 29 or above for sure.

Extracurriculars and participation:
Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society): 10, 11 (Historian), 12. Regional competitions.
SECME (Engineering club): 10 (Historian), 11 (Secretary), 12 (Vice President). Regional competitions.
National Honor Society: 11 and 12 (Webmaster). Created and maintaining website and leading two projects.

*So yes, please do chance me. Also, if you can/want to list what I should improve on. *

And I do have a couple of questions:

In my Personal Profile, I haven't exactly faced any hardships or difficulties in my educational career except a few bumps here and there but they're not significant. Even though they're not significant, do I still list them? One of the questions is "Do you wish to tell the admission committee anything pertaining to your application?" For this, can I put something I want to achieve at UBC and only can achieve at UBC? I don't wanna sound like I'm forcing them to accept me and I'll accomplish huge things then though... Does sending my application early make my decision come fast and will I have more chances of being accepted? Any tips for the Personal Profile? If I'm about to compete in a competition in May of 2014, should I still list it in the participation in clubs or ECs? Any advice for volunteering hours or such? Any advice for test scores or such? Like how much should I get to be in the safe zone?

*Please do answer whole heartedly... UBC is my dream school and even though I'm applying to many other schools.. they're all back up schools. *

Oh and also, my second choice in the UBC application is Arts.

I plan on doing the Dual Degree in Arts and Sciences. But with Sciences (Computer Science) always being my main.

The requirements for UBC SCIENCE:

Senior-level Mathematics (Pre-Calculus) with a minimum grade of C+
Chemistry (at least one year)
Physics (at least one year) is strongly recommended

I took Pre-Cal freshman and sophomore year.
Freshman: B and B+ (This was a regular pre calculus class)
Sophomore: C+ and C (This was a IB pre cal class - the first year of IB Math SL)

Chemistry:
I've taking in sophomore, junior and now I'm taking it.
Sophomore: Pre-IB A and A
Junior: AP A and A
Senior: IB Expect A and A as well

Physics:
Sigh. I got C+ and B...

I have the chance of retaking AP physics by dropping out AP Computer Science, should I do it?

Thank you very much for your time and consideration~ :)
