Getting into UGA

Hey I am applying to University of Georgia as my main school to get into and I was just wondering what yall think my chances are. On my SAT I received a 750 in Math, 570 in Reading, and 530 in Writing. My GPA is 3.62 unweighted though weighted it is 3.98. I have taken 4 AP classes, AP Stats, AP US, AP CS, and AP Human. My class rank is top 27%. I am out of state I live in Texas. Without my extra curricular what do yall think my chances are?

ok i am in pretty much the exact same boat as you,my gpa is basically the same for unweighted and weighted, my ACT was at a 28, i'm not sure how your SATs compare with my act but I've been told such mixed things about admission. First, you should know that they do not consider if you are in state or out of state. ahh its so frustrating! but without your extracurriculars, based on what most people have said to me, you're a higher maybe. Georgia is my top choice too! where else are you applying/what are you planning on majoring in?

I am majoring in International Relations and so far UGA is the only college I have applied to. I was thinking of applying to UT but I really want to get out of Texas so I am looking for some other schools like UGA with the same atmosphere and a town like Athens.

With a 1320/1600 SAT I score and a strong GPA, you are highly likely to be admitted to the University of Georgia, and may even be admitted to the Honors Program.

My SAT is farely strong but my GPA is weak compared to the GPA's I have seen being accepted by UGA. I think I saw that the average GPA was 3.65 and my unweighted GPA is a 3.62 and that worries me somewhat.

try indiana university, ive heard its similar to athens. also, university of wisconsin-madison is a good college town. not for me, i live in wisconsin and i need to get out of the cold. its a great school though.

coldwind, can I get in to georgia do you think?
