Getting kind of a panic attack on acceptance letters

Sooo I haven’t received an acceptance letters from UCR, UCI, and SDSU. Especially UCR, I wanna go there so badly but I am really nervous that I might not get in. I know UCI and SDSU sent out the letters later in Feb but I really wanna know my UCR admission status. Who hasn’t receive UCR letters yet? btw I put my major as Bioengineering BS + MS does that affect my admission time for UCR? Or is it because that majoring in engineering usually takes more time to process in general? I am so confused and lost and scared!

Have you checked the UCR board?

Check the admissions portals online.

@Rdtsmith @BrownParent I did everyday it still says my application is still under review

@WinnieH: There is still plenty of time. UCR will send out acceptances in waves through April. SDSU accepted only high Stat applicants in December and should be sending out acceptances through April and UCI has only accepted CHP/Regent applicants and they will continue with acceptances through March. Yes, it is agonizing during the wait, but you should be hearing soon.
Until you get an official rejection, all you can do is hope for the best.

@Gumbymom does the major I put affect the admission?

Yes, for UCR it does make a difference but not all UC’s accept by major. You happen to pick a very competitive and difficult major along with trying to get into the BS+MS program. Your Stats would need to be above the average to be considered competitive. Good Luck.

@Gumbymom thanks! is it possible for them to change my major/make my major become undeclared even if I got accepted? or would I just get rejected straight away?

Your acceptance will based on your applied major and you cannot change it until you are admitted. You can ask about changing your major during Freshman Orientation but usually have to wait after Fall quarter.
