GETTING OUT OF FSU HOUSING CONTRACT ADVICE

I have a really high contract number (6500) and I was misinformed and led to believe that freshman are required to have on campus housing for their first year. I have a really severe fear of the dark. I have no issues living on campus, except for the fact that I would need a single room because of my social anxiety and my extreme fear of the dark (I sleep with all of the lights on). However, psychologists are expensive and I dont have a medical diagnosis. I am locked in my housing contract and they told me that it was very unlikely that I would be able to get out of the contract. My selection time isnt until June 27th but I need to have a single room in the fall or else I know I’ll have a mental breakdown. Is there any advice? Should I go to a doctor and have them diagnose me? The only downsides to that would be a) its expensive and b) will that be able to be done in time for me to still be able to get a single.

IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET OUT OF MY CONTRACT???

please help
