I'm sort of getting to that point where for math and writing I'm missing questions like 5 questions. I try to not miss 5 (which I know is a good number, but fewer is better :)), but I always seem to miss that many. I don't think it's carelessness, well, I guess you could call it that. Any tips for make it to the -0 mark?

Thanks

so u get like 700s in math and 720s in writing. YOu're asking how can that be brought up to 800. I had similar scores in practices. I didn't study for math, just went thorugh carefully, and pulled an 800 on the real test. On writing, I reviewd some Kaplan book and learned many grammar rules and pulled an 800. Writing can be hard to imrpvoe after the -5 mark, sicne it requires less simple knowledge and more judgment. but if u can develop this judgment, an 800 is possible. work on your essays, this can be the difference between an 800 and a 790. My friend got a 78 MC in January and 11 essay(790), while some other kid got a 78MC and 12essay (800).

Just keep studying and remember to work carefully.

I don't have a problem with the essay. I got a 12 the first time, and I'm pretty sure I can do it a 2nd time.

For the math, do you advise I omit questions that I could potentially be getting right?

I feel like writing is the luck of the draw. Sometimes I just don't know what they want (hence the 5 questions).

" I feel like writing is the luck of the draw."

I agree with you 100% on that one, man. Writing is really starting to get annoying... math is no problem for me, and I'm even improving on CR, but my writing scores are just completely random. I've taken 6 full BB tests, and the number of errors I've gotten on writing are: 2,3,0,4,2,3. I just HATE that I'm not improving :(

haha, honestly, just practice. I've done 6 BB tests, and amazingly, my scores have kind of improved. Number of errors: 6,3,4,5,1,0

And also a moderate amount of vocab-memorizing.

For writing, I think concentration is important. I usually miss more questions at the end. But today, after trying my best to focus, I finally got to the minus 0 part. (Last week, I missed like 7)

But the writing questions increase in order of difficulty, right?

I've heard there's a general pattern, more or less.

Yeah, so this: "I usually miss more questions at the end." would be explained by the increasing-in-difficulty trend, not by lack of focus.

Is giving SAT II again a good option? I got only 730 last time in Maths IIc coz it clashed a bit with my Board exams and I was practically sick before the exam, is it a good score. BTW I gave it on June, I'm planning SAT I onOctober

I am having lots of trouble judging which choice is the BEST answer on the improving sentences section. Sometimes it's frustrating b/c the shortest answer ISN't the correct one.

As for increasing difficulty I think each math section gets harder and harder too.... b/c if you look at the 1st math section it's 25 mins for 24 questions, and then it becomes 25 mins for 16 questions, and then like 20 mins for 10 questions or something like that.

Also for writing the last section is hardest b/c it's mainly Correcting Sentences, whihc is harder/longer/more tedious to read than Error ID's.

I think the last section is DEFINITELY easiest, because it has no Error IDs! I love Correcting Sentences! haha. Error IDs is what kills me.
