Gettysburg vs villanova

ANy thoughts?

yes, with the abundant info you have provided, i vote for WAWA University…Seriously, what major, et al ???

Yes general observations would be great. My daughter was accepted to one then taken off wait list to another and is now very confused. A student great socres, not really committed to any major. Strengths are in Math and Science. Thank you

All things being equal Nova more well known in the NE business community then Gettysburg. I like the religious influence as well, you get more kids professing values (but plenty do not).

Gettysburg is a very good school, without question…But would agree with reply that states 'Nova is more “recognized” in the Northeast then Gettysburg…I also second the “religious” aspect, though that may or may not be of importance to some…Proximity to Philly is a huge plus, not only for social life, cultural events, et al, but also for job prospects/internships etc…Best of luck in your decision

Thanks so much. Greatly appreciate the feedback. Any other thoughts welcome. The decision has to be made by Friday 5/28/10 4 p.m.!!!

Gettysburg is a small liberal arts college with about 2,500 students; Villanova has about 6,900 students. That’s a big difference in size, which must be taken into account. Students at smaller schools tell me that after a while, they feel they “know everybody” on campus - even if that’s not really true. On the other hand, if your D wants a very intimate, personal experience and (according to Princeton Review) “a close rapport with peers and professors,” Gettysburg may be a better fit. I’m sure she could get much of the same at VU though… two very good choices!
