GFs visiting plebes?

^^^^well despite the odds, I know of at least one..... :o

Heck, even Apollo 13 made it back from the moon. But I'd not want to bet on a 2nd similar success.

SPIDERMOM Clearing the way for us! Wish we were there with you guys! See you Monday! Annapolis will never be the same :)

I haven't heard of a single pre-existing relationship working for longer than halfway through plebe year.

Add another one to your list Navy2010 :)

Probably the best thing that happened to our Mid ... she really did help him do extremely well during the AC year, not to mention getting him through Plebe Summer. As both had their own studying to worry about...their "dates" consisted of a brief phone call prior to heading to the library and a phone call Sunday to catch up on the week, compare notes on studies, exams etc.

She went for one weekend - the IBall. They spend alot of time together while at home but by no means are "joined at the hip"

A pretty healthy relationship with both having their own identities, dreams and goals - that could include one another after flight school, and if not, they will probably be best of friends for a long time!

So JamTex it depends on the relationship - not all are a "source of trouble" If both parties are mature it can be healthy. All depends on yours and the GF/BF attitudes - both attitudes!

there is one day that won my "heart" over....
a nasty, cold, windy, rain-in-your face day....
dark- late-
sports practice ending too late to get any food-
and absolutely so drained and exhausted that even a walk to gate 0 seemed an impossible task-
and feeling "sick" to boot....[fever would not arrive until a day later]....

and to the yard came hot soup, hot pasta, some tea and chocolate covered strawberries....
how can you not love a girl like that?

and what you mention about attitudes and maturity is absolutely dead-on!
[I just wish sometimes there was a bit more distance in our case.... ]... so I would add to your receipe a healthy pinch of "balance"!
