<p>For anyone who lives in GA, how do colleges view the Governors Honors Program? This time of the year is all about GHP applications and interviews, and I've been hearing from everyone (in school) that it's really big (people have been flipping out when they learned they were semifinalists), but on here it's not really that important.</p>

<p>I think it’s more of a state thing, and even more for certain schools/counties. It’s a huge deal at my school. I was nominated last year but wasn’t a finalist so I didn’t list anything about it on my college application. I imagine in-state schools would really like it, but at places like Ga Tech, GHP kids are a dime a dozen lol. Many different states have governor’s schools though so even if a college had no experience with GHP I’d think they’d still recognize it as a pretty high achievement.</p>
