Giorgio Armani Colognes

I am curious to know about these two colognes:

1-Giorgio Armani Code
2-Giorgio Armani Aqua Di Gio

I know the second one is played out but it is a good scent from what I have heard,
I basically want a good summer cologne I can wear with my Lacoste/Burberry polos and Ed Hardy T's. For that I think Aqua Di Gio is good but for winter use such as Coats, sweaters, fullsleeve polos, and dress shirts.. Then I think the Code one would be good. So does this combo sound good or is code not a winter cologne or something like that? Thanks!

code’s fine (10char)

why would you care if a cologne is played out when you wear ed hardy.

I have both and I know for a fact girls love both. I asked two girls if they knew which cologne I was wearing and they said they didn’t know, so I don’t think it’s played out. Most people on this forum don’t know jack…just because it’s one of the most popular colognes they say it’s played out, but if it’s helping me with girls it can’t be played out.

Code is def. appropriate for the kind of occasion you mentioned. I first bought Aqua Di Gio in the fall then switched to Code in the winter, but ultimately went back to Aqua Di Gio in the summer as my primary cologne and use Code to switch it up every now and then.

Neither go with Ed Hardy T’s though…didn’t know Burberry had polos. With Giorgio Armani cologne I wear H&M/Express/Ralph Lauren/Lacoste shirts, blue denim jeans from GAP and Ralph Lauren, and black leather loafers by Aldo. Make sure you got a short neat haircut and clean shaven face and your golden for a romantic date with a gorgeous woman, trust the expert here (but don’t swagger jack me).

Haha I know but I barely have Ed hardy t’s, only like a few I got from a gift. I wear em in the summer, but yeah I care.

lol. I’ve shaved my head the last 3 years, although I’m getting bored of it, so I’m gonna grow it out. I don’t even know what haircut to go with.

I have a Harry osbourne from the spider-man movies type of haircut. Forgot the actors name

Kiefer Sutherland (from 24) style haircut it’s that simple.

Creed Green Irish Tweed for all occasions. That is if you have the money to blow. :stuck_out_tongue:

Code may be more a night/going-out cologne. A winter cologne usually has spicy and/or sweet notes, unlike summer colognes which are more light and citrusy. But wear what you like whenever really.

Acqua di Gio is a much more spring/summer/sunny cologne. Great for day wear, and it can certainly be used for the night. Its notes might not be deep enough for the night depending on the user, but it’s your prerogative really.

they are completely overrated.

I laughed at the fact that some people coordinate colognes with haircuts and casual outfits. I understand if you use different ones for casual/formal, but… okay!!

^Yeah that’s what I was thinking, I only wear 2 colognes, one for summer and one for winter & formal.

In personal experience, I find that Code wears off kind of fast to the point where people can’t really smell it. I find Aqua di Gio better, and more distinctive even when you’re not wearing as much.

I’m going to go smell them at Bloomingdale’s and see how I like them. I will prob end up getting both. Aqua di Gio can replace my Lacoste cologne and be the new summer one I can wear with polos and T’s. Code can replace my Eternity cologne and be the new winter/formal/office cologne I wear with dress shirts, coats, and longsleeve polos/tees.

Giorgio Armani Aqua Di Gio is the greatest cologne I’ve have ever smelled on a guy. My boyfriend has used it all summer–but I agree, it does “go” better with less casual outfits. However, when he uses it with t-shirts, I am definitely -not- complaining!

When I go to give him a hug, it’s such a pleasant, subtle surprise! =P

Armani just came out with a new cologne, Diamond for men. It’s quite summery, but doesn’t have the citrus that Eternity Summer does.

not my style. I think I’ll go with the russell crowe maximus style caesar cut.

Kenneth Cole Black is great.

I looooove acqua di gio! It makes me melllllt.
