<p>I’m not a girl, but I’m more partial to Polo Double Black than Polo Black or Blue. Polo Romance hybrids are pretty good too.</p>

<p>I’m a girl, and I personally prefer guys to NOT have cologne. I like it when they smell fresh like they just took a shower. Then again, that’s me.</p>

<p>It’s not really supply and demand. Brand name colognes are expensive because you’re paying a premium for the brand name. Kinda like Grey Goose vodka and Gucci sunglasses.</p>
<p>I am not a girl, but I would say choose more unique colognes. If the girl you are with has been with a guy who used the cologne you are wearing, it might just remind her too much of him and not as much about you.</p>

<p>…and when it comes to familiar smells, it goes both ways. A girl could smell you and be reminded of pleasant things and really like your cologne.</p>
<p>I like old spice, it smells okay but more importantly the commercials are awesome and I assume a guy using old spice has an awesome sense of humor that he’d go out and buy something a funny commercial told him to.</p>
<p>I love cologne. I don’t know what my favorite is but anything is preferable to none as long as you know not to bathe in it and you’re not wearing axe for christ’s sake. lol.</p>

<p>Shazami: I’m just pointing out that supply isn’t that big of a factor when it comes to the pricing of colognes. The market for colognes is closer to that of the market for sunglasses than the market for say bananas, which is much more heavily influenced by supply and demand.</p>
<p>Also Old Spice isn’t directed towards men but to women to buy it for their man. Nice attention to detail.</p>

<p>The most compliments I have got were from Old Spice deodorant — which quite frankly, I was surprised girls recognized because I couldn’t even smell it on myself.</p>
<p>Otherwise - the point of wearing cologne is to have some unique scent — not just wear Aqua de Gio (THE most common and overused cologne ever, period).</p>
