Yo, so apparently I made it into the top 10 of my last semester senior year, as #10. I really had no idea, cause I've been a BIG slacker this year, and today, my friend told me that I kicked her friend out of the Top 10. That chick like hates me now, and I didn't really know what to say. However, her bitterness ****ed me off, so I was thinking of going for straight As this semester just to keep her out of the Top 10...what do you guys think?

She had a really offensive reaction when my friend told me, and I don't get why it's such a big deal to her, but I'm still not happy about the way she acted...

Tell her to F**koff. I'm so glad I go to a noncompetitive school where everyone in the top two percent knows each other very well, are friendly, helps each other with classwork, and where nobody wants to be the Valedictorian because of speech fright.

I would be ticked if someone said that. A statement that stupid wouldn't even merit an argument.

When they released rank for us in junior year it seemed like everyone had the top ten memorized. Really creepy...

But no one expected me to be in it even though I've always been in really hard classes... So I missed most of the competition, even though I was one of them. Haha! I guess it pays to be quiet about grades.

People who obsess over rank like that need to get a life.

It's highly unlikely that you'll ever see her again after graduating. Let her say whatever she wants. It won't change the fact that you beat her :)
