Does any one know how bad the girl situation is at Rensselaer? I have been in an all boys school for four years so I would be much happier if it was easier to get a girlfreind and from what I have heard the girl sitiuation at R.P.I is not too great since it is like 76% men there.

I have quite a few friends that go to R.P.I (I live about an hour north of Rensselear).

They tell me that there aren't a lot of girls in their classes, but it doesn't matter too much socially because there are plenty of girls at Sage, an all girls college, really close by.

Yeah, the ratio sucks, but given the circumstances, it's not terrible.

Do not go to RIT if you are worried about these things. You have to pretend your right hand is ur gf if u go.

I heard that one in every 200 girls at RPI is decent looking. That is one reason why I crossed RPI off my list. :)

The difference between RPI guys and MIT guys: when RPI guys want female companionship, they go to Sage; when MIT guys want female companionship, they BUILD a female.

LOL.........................

there will probably be 10 good looking girls-- 3 of them will be my friends who are attending next year. if your looking for love, your at a loss at rpi.

Sounds a bit rough.

Something nobody will say in these politically correct days: the girls who go to a college with a 4:1 male:female ratio tend to be girls who NEED a 4:1 ratio to get much attention. In other words, the situation at RPI might be even WORSE than the stats indicate.

Speaking as a girl who goes to a school with such a ratio... um, no.

I said "...tend..."
