Anyone else doing it?

I'm doing Girls State (obviously). I think it's called the Palmetto State. =/

So yeah... don't know much about it... but it seems to be run by a rather conservative group of people.

Yepp, I’m doing California Girls State. I don’t know too much about it either, but from what I’ve heard from the past girls from my school who did it plus others (We just had a tea this weekend), it seems much less politically biased and much more fun and interesting than what the website(s) suggest :)

Everyone at my school that has gone has hated it. They said only weird people go, but I heard that it’s pretty prestigious.

Some cool alumni:
Harry Reid, Rush Limbaugh, Bill Clinton, George Pataki, Mike Huckabee, Tom Brokaw, Jane Pauley, Michelle D. Johnson, Robert A Paquin III, Nick Saban, Michael Jordan, Mark Wahlberg, Neil Armstrong, Russell Jones, Nancy Redd, James Campbell and Henry J. Bianco IV.

So following in the steps of the first person to step on the moon is pretty cool…

I’m going (Boys State) in NC! Apparently we play lots of sports, and I am SO looking forward to that haha

Oh! We’re neighbors! lol

I go to NC every weekend. I live about 30 minutes from the border and our school’s sports conference in the NCISA… so practically all of our games are in Asheville.

sorry but I just noticed your alumni…and I just wanted to add…I went to Alabama Boys State, and the main coordinator there (chief justice johnson) was roommates with Bill Clinton when they both went to Boys Nation…lolz

anyways Boys/Girls State is freaking AWESOME!!! make new friends, learn cool stuff, good food, totally worth the experience. oh and recreational stuff was good too. the seminars were intellectually stimulating. seriously, so cooo.

only part I have to compain about is that we had to get up at 6:30 every morning and went to sleep at 11. I slept for 100 hours when I got back. otherwise, LEGIT.

ok not sure if this random post helped or influenced anything but…yeah :D
