Agreed.

However, there's no way the avg. male height in the US is anything above 5'10. I'd say it's 5'9" max, and that's what most sources say...

And I think the average male (in America) is 5'9"/5'10".

The average height of the American male has dropped slightly to 5'9.5" (and this excludes Asians and Hispanics) - due to declining nutrition and healthcare, among other factors.

In the Netherlands the average female is 5'7" and average male is 6'1"/6'2". Huge reason why I won't move there lol.

And the Dutch used to be among the shortest peoples in Europe not that long ago.

As for the disparity in height btwn males and females - it's about 4-5" for pretty much all the various racial/ethnic groups.

I'd like to go to Netherlands... not for the chicks, though. For that I'd go to Ukraine or something. The women there are beautiful and unlike girls in Canada/America they aren't self-entitled/arrogant enough to make the guy do all of the work.

^ Nice stereotyping of American/Canadian females, not to mention Ukrainian females (most of whom do NOT look like models).

Uh, I wasn't stereotyping. I've lived in Canada and I've spent time in Ukraine and America. I have enough experience to have an opinion on it.

And no they don't all look like models. But they're a hell of a lot more fit and therefore better looking than your average Canadian/American.

I must say his stereotype about American/Canadian females is somewhat accurate :P

^ Being "fit" has less to do w/ beauty (some people prefer their women to be more voluptuous).

Ukranian women are no more likely to have facial symmetry than any other group of women (they do, however, tend to be heavy smokers - which does tend to age a person).

Yeah I read an article about that. They used to have poor nutrition, etc. The article also talked about how Americans were getting shorter although we're now wealthier while Europeans were getting taller relative to us. It mentioned that during the Revolutionary War Americans were on average taller than British men by 5"? or something like that. Now British men on average are taller. I think it mentioned that a culprit is fast food, etc. By the way it controlled for race, so the article only took into account Caucasian Americans. It was an interesting read.

It doesn't matter. In Europe women don't have an entitlement complex. They don't judge men based on height and money. MEn are treated as equals and not inferior like America. This is especially true for Western and Northern European countries like Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Belgium, Holland and even France.

Men are treated as inferior to women in America? Never heard of that one. LOL!

Have you been to/lived in Europe? One of my parents is from Europe and women think the same EVERYWHERE. I have no idea where you guys come up with this.

Sorry, but there is more to beauty that face. Body is important. Not only that, but bodyfat levels HIGHLY change the features of the face. Speaking of facial features, they differ by ethnicity and I prefer eastern Europeans. They have bigger lips unlike the lipless Northern/Western Europeans. And I like how you're using voluptuous to euphemize fat and disgusting.

Facial symmetry (if you're talking about bilaterial symmetry) isn't the deciding factor on facial beauty, either. It's one factor out of hundreds (probably thousands) and isn't that significant compared to many of them (proportion and orientation of the features being the most important). I'm not really the person that you want to argue with about this. I've studied this area for hours and hours (it's one of my main interests; I even used to want to be a plastic surgeon).

Men on average make more money than women in the same professions (gender gap). Women have a more difficult time being promoted to upper management. Men dominate business, science/math, medicine(excluding nursing), politics, etc. Do I have to list them all?

They are culturally and behaviorally completely different. When I went to Ukraine, I was approached by a woman before I even left the airport.

The difference between many places in Europe and North America is that men in those European countries haven't been worshiping chick's p*****s (censored for CC) since they were 15. Ukraine is a completely different world. To think that women act the same everywhere is just ignorant.

The Lizard Master: Men make more than Women myth debunked!

Sahadi: 39 jobs where women earn more than men - Mar. 2, 2006

Men don't make more. Women make up a greater percentage of american college students. Women get affirmative action. Why the hell do girls get rights are reserved for minorities when they are the majority of the population? Men work longer hours and do the dirtier jobs.

If women were getting paid less you realize all firms would hire the cheaper source of labor. Its simple economics.

Men are treated inferior when they have to do all the work in dating. When they get cleaned out in family and divorce court. when they are abused and no one believes them.

Russell7 hit the spot right on. Men in america put the you know what on a pedestal. Which probably ruins it for the men who think with the correct head.

I've found the European girls/women at my school to be much less superficial and much more bright as compared to an American college student. This is turning into another men vs. women thread, lol.

Women have problems being promoted because less are willing to work longer hours. Also many women don't ask for promotions. Don't blame women's unwillingness to work harder and ask for what they want on men.

Wow, one woman approached you. And that means what exactly? What I heard--since we're going on stereotypes--is that Eastern European men tend to be male chauvinists while the women tend to be more promiscuous or more willing to flirt with men because of the conditions under the Soviet Union. These stereotypes permeate throughout ex-Soviet/Communist )these are somewhat different) and current Communist states (like China) under which sex is used as a means of paying for what you needed, since money means very little. In addition the newfound materialism is prevalent under ex-Soviet states because people grew up with relatively little and after the end of the USSR, they naturally treasured material wealth more. You should read about the "new money" class.

How exactly have men been worshiping women? What I see as "worship" is the objectification of women in the media and by society. By the way, the countries that the poster listed included the Scandinavian countries, etc. Those countries have on average the tallest men in the world. So yes, maybe women aren't as "picky" since all the men are tall anyway. They don't have to be as picky. As for France, if you go there you will see that people are more appearance-conscious than in America. Everyone dresses extremely well.

Women everywhere may be different, but general consensus is that women everywhere 1) prefer taller men 2) prefer wealthier men. I don't see what's so hard to accept about this.

Is this thread being overrun by male chauvinists? Do you honestly believe this? Read the article about women trying to make partner in law firms. Women who are willing to work long hours still have a harder time making partner. I can't believe this...seriously hahahaha. By the way women on average are more intelligent than men. Men tend to have more outliers (so the prodigies tend to be male) but women on average are smarter than men.
