Hmmm... never knew that my long reach could ever get me chicks.

5'9" with a 6'1" reach here. Although I guess a lot of that is in the shoulder girdle.

Except that she wouldn't give you a second look; you're not above 6'0" :P

Just watch, man. I'll wear 3" lifts and seduce her with my long arms..

hahaha btw, A good sense of humor is the most important attribute. But I do have different tastes than many other girls. I am attracted to lanky--sometimes awkwardly lanky looking--guys, especially when it looks like they have no idea where to put their limbs.

Let me get off topic a little, if the guy is 5'3", at least have some abs or a little athletic. I need a strong man who at least can lift 40lbs. Ok I'm asking for too much. =X

Ideal height for girls to date?

I'm 5'1". I wouldn't do shorter than 5'5" or 5'6". Not because I'm heightist, but because when I wear heels, I'd still want him to be taller than me

It's not that awkward being with a guy who's a foot taller than you. Ha. This one couple I know: the guy (football star) is 6'2/6'3 and the girl (cheerleading co-captain) is 5'3. It's worked for them for > 1 year. It all comes down to how much you like the other person. You learn to work around the height difference.

Another post I know:

Heck my calc teacher is pretty close to my height. 5'2, 5'3" and she was in this relationship with this mondo basketball player for a little while and he was 6'7". Crazy.

must be my height (5'6") and able to pick me up

And able to pick you up????? Is there like a test beforehand?

You're gonna need a body builder to lift someone named horsegirl...

And abs hardly means that they have any sort of strength at all, just super low body fat.

I'm 5'4" and I really don't care how tall the guy is. Relationships shouldn't be based off a factor like this.

Every girl has their ideal guy, but that doesn't really mean that anyone that doesn't meet all those standards has no chance to be with her.

I am 5'8'', and I wouldn't go out with a guy shorter than 6'.

I weigh 135 so it soundn't be too much of an issue. And yes, there is a test before; i screen all dates this way.

^ That's pretty heavy. I'm a 5'11 guy and I only weigh 10 pounds more than you.

Yeah, you're definitely not skinny. I'm an inch taller than you and weigh 20 pounds less.

good god people. I know her "date screening" thing is a bit ridiculous, but 135 at 5'6" is NOT heavy. I know it's not skinny, but it's good and average. Boys, you can't go by your weights when you think about girl weight. We have less muscle and more fat than you do. I'm 5'9" and 165 lbs and my guy friends are always like, oh you're like 135-140 right? Guys are horrible at judging girls' sizes just from numbers.

just FYI, I was kidding about the date screening...joke...yes...funny? haha?

I'm definitely not skinny but I wear a size 6, so I'm not heavy.

Having proportionally less muscle and more fat relative to another person would make you look fatter relative to that individual given that both weigh the same and have similar bone density. Men tend to have denser bones and hence heavier bones. Fat is denser than muscle. While 1 pound of fat weighs the same as 1 pound of muscle, a girl relative to a male of the same weight will look fatter than him.
