Girls where do you shop?

I need to go shopping. I don't spend more than $10 for casual shirts either, but $20 for jeans usually lands you some badly-fitting, butt-inflating atrocity. Shell out $5 more and you're in safer territory.

are u a girl happypoo?

I will allow that comment to go unanswered, and create an aura of mystery around my true identity. I've always wanted an aura of mystery, because unfortunately, I am not that interesting without one.

wise......

omg everywhere...i'm addicted

a&f, hollister, banana republic, j crew, ae, gap, urban outfitters....
plus
h&m, tj maxx, sometimes old navy...

so, is it bad going into college with a set list of places you shop (i mean, is it better to go with an open-mind and be willing to shop anywhere?) I'm sorta picky and i currently shop at:

Urban Outfitters
Forever 21
Abercrombie & Fitch (rarely)
Lucky Jeans Company
Anthropologie
J. Crew (rarely)
H&M
Nordstrom's (I love their shoes)

should i maybe amend my store list for college, I mean, is my focus to narrow?

no, 10 dollar jeans usually lands you with badly fitting jeans. 20 dollars are perfect. 30 dollar and up are just very over priced. you can find very comfy pants on sale or clerance for 20 dollars. :)

I got all of my dress pants for work at Ross.. I don't think I paid more than $8 for a pair... and they're actually all quite comfy..

I only wear levi's (they're the ONLY jeans that fit me good) so I usually spend about $30-35 for a pair at JCPenney or Sears. I REALLY need some new ones, right now I only have 3 pair that even come close to fitting, because I've lost weight over the past couple months. I don't mind spending that money, because I know they will fit good and last a long time. I wouldn't spend any more than that though. For casual t-shirts and tank tops, I spend probably $10-15, but no more. For nicer shirts, I'll pay more, but not any more than about $20. I'm a good bargain finder though, so USUALLY I don't have to pay that much.

hotpiece, definitely go into college with an open mind, because you will be shopping at places like Wal-Mart far more than you know. Plus most of the stores you listed are pretty expensive, and unless you have a full ride, you mostly likely are gonna be pretty broke during the year as most college students are, and if you want something new you will probably be shopping somewhere cheaper like Old Navy (H&M is good, but they don't have them where I live. The only one I've ever been in is the one in NYC).

Oh wow, I have never even been in a Walmart in my entire life... and yeah, I agree H&M only exists in only places, but there is one in Boston (thank god). yeah, i agree that some of the stores are pretty expensive, but i love Forever 21 because it is relatively cheap.

There are actually quite a few nice stores on Harvard Square, though they are very expensive.

Haha, well, I'm from Alabama so we pretty much live in Wal-marts around here...

Depends on what I'm buying. For trendy, throw away stuff I go to target, F21, etc (H&M will be on the list when they can get their act together and open the stores they've been talking about for 4 years in LA and OC).

BR, Arden B, Nordstrom, and random boutiques in Laguna Beach, Newport and LA for more lasting but semi-affordable pieces.

For bags and jeans, Saks or Bloomingdales or Nordstrom or whichever has the best price/sale. Those trips are much, much less frequent.

*Edited to add that I second Bluefly as a good online site. Shopbop.com is fun, too (or will be, when I have paychecks).

Oh and Bebe Sport. I dont really like regular Bebe..but oh god. Bebe Sport foldover pants are so. comfortable. I have 4 pair. They're my I'm-too-tired-to-get-dressed-for-class pants because they're easy to wear on campus all day and make it look like I tried even a little more than if I wore pajama pants. So amazing.

As far as the WalMart thing....maybe it just depends on where you go to school? I haven't been to a WalMart since the late 90s, but there's only 1 I know of anywhere around here so it's not very common.

Hotpiece- I wouldn't keep to a set list. Depending on where you go to school, there may be some really cool independent or boutique stores that could have fun (and possibly even low-priced) stuff. I get bored of shopping in the same places all the time, though, so I could be biased.

Saks
Nordstrom
J. Crew
Ralph Lauren
Brooks Brothers
Abercrombie (occasionally)

That's where I shop in America, and probably when I go to college. No sense of giving where I shop at home.

Charlotte Russe, Buckle, Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, and sometimes AF. AF is kind of boring to me.

nordstrom for jeans b/c they hem 'em for free and i love b.p. for bags & accessories b/c they're uber cheap

anthropologie when i want to splurge on nice dresses/skirts

j.crew for their adorable summer dresses and their winter sweaters

lacoste/ralph lauren for polos

rainbow flip-flops go w/ everything, and i mean EVERYTHING. shoes from nordie's when im forced to dress up a bit

Macy's
JC Penny's
Dillards
Bebe
Victoria Secret
Coach

i like victoria's secret...they send me free underwear in the mail :)

^ lol hahaha

I like VS too. . . I got my first teddybear when I was a little kid from there, I think it was supposed to be a bed decoration type thing, but he's this awesome color of turquoise and the only teddybear I've ever really had. . . yeah they make awesome bras too, especially if you can get one when they're having their semianual sale. I've gotten some nice nice bras there for like $12
