Girls with tattoos

girls with tats are good for hookups not dating in my personal opinion

^ You’re classy.

All tattoos are trashy.

“What’s really immature is judging someone’s personality based on their appearance.”

Not necessarily true, a tattoo is a choice, not something you’re born with. It says something about you that you are willing to defile your skin to either look tough or to follow a trend. In this case, it’s not really appearance we’re judging, but choices a person has made. I think it’s immature for a girl to get a tattoo. Who is right, PrincessBride or me?

We can hold off on answering that question for fiften, twenty, or thirty years. However long it takes for an entire generation of girls to become grown women who realized they semipermanently marred their appearance for the sake of low fashion.

“Any guy who would make a big deal about something as trivial as a small tattoo isn’t really mature enough for a relationship in the first place. And at any rate, we are talking to an extremely conservative OP…just look at the rest of his posts. He comes off as extremely judgmental and religious,”

Well it’s a good thing you aren’t judgmental yourself, then.

Getting a tramp stamp shows stupidity at the very least. It’s in a location that is impossible to see (by the person with the stamp) and serves only one purpose.

Actually two because it’s a great target.

Your statements are fairly true but to be honest not that many girls get tats. Less than 20%.

If I’m wearing jeans and a t or polo or whatever (work clothes/business casual), none of mine are visible (I currently have 4 and am getting a 5th). None of which are on my back or hip. I have only received positive feedback from my guy friends. I think the location is a big thing, as is whether it is a classy tattoo or a tasteless one. I just got back from a lynyrd skynyrd concert and there is for sure a difference between respectful and trashy tattoos. If a tattoo is an automatic dealbreaker for a guy, I don’t care because I would not be able to date someone who wasn’t chill or open minded and cared so much about appearance. I love tattoos, and as long as they are done right, they are a fantastic addition to any otherwise blank canvas. It is incredible to think that we can get something done that is permanent in a world filled with uncertainty. Wearing a piece of art forever is also really cool. I never got why people didn’t like tattoos…

The key word that you used here was “defile” you are basing your dislike of tattoos on ingrained religious beliefs that other posters have pointed out. And yes getting something permanent etched onto your skin to follow a trend or to look tough shows poor decision making skills. But those are not the only reasons for getting a tattoo; whether they have significant meanings or they just look good.
Some people consider it unattractive but would not go so far as to say the person is “defiled”

@tiff, I really like what you said :)

tiff- where are yours? Just curious.

1) Social D logo right shoulder
2) endless knot L ankle
3) Black and white koi fish left shoulder
4) Tree of life right side

I really don’t see how a tattoo is a dealbreaker for a guy. Where I come from, guys are all up on you even if you’re bald.

Whatever. This is an argument I can’t win at the moment.

But time is my friend.

Watch the soccer mom tramp stamp youtube.

@4.340, not all tats are tramp stamps. And while tats do say something about who you are, it matters the context of when, why, how, what it is, where it is, and what it means moreso than just having it. Fortunately the world is not as binary as you try and make it.

Tattoos on girls can be pretty attractive if it is the right thing in a proper place.

I recently worked door at a concert and I would have never guessed how many women had full chest tattoos. That is as classy as it gets.

For what it’s worth, not all religious people take issue with tattoos. Many have tattoos themselves.

The phrase tramp stamp is horrendous.

so are tramp stamps

Then don’t get one.
