Give a Minnesotan guy a chance!

I know chance threads are silly, but the given stats from Georgetown do not cover the subjective things, so I am not sure how the other aspects of my application compare. I would love if someone with past experience would be willing to let me know how everything looks so far!

Thank you!

I really appreciate everyone for reading this! Please let me know if there are any schools besides these that might be a good (or better) match for me! I would definitely be interested in applying EA. I am also considering the following:

-Penn
-Carnegie Mellon
-UChicago
-Cornell
-Wisconsin
-Michigan
-Virginia

It looks like you are going to be a great candidate for all of the schools you’re considering. If you get your ACT a bit higher, which I anticipate you will given your good score as a sophomore, I think you have an excellent shot. I would recommend applying Early Action to Georgetown–it cannot hurt (no one is denied), and it shows the admissions committee your interest in the school. In terms of finance, of the schools you are looking at, I would put Georgetown at or near the top–the Wall Street Alliance is a group of Georgetown alumni who work hard to help seniors at Georgetown network, and Georgetown is routinely in the top 5 for undergraduate recruitment by top firms/banks in finance.

Thanks, medman! I will definitely keep Georgetown on my list and will consider EA.

Does anyone have other opinions? Room for improvement?

Bump! Anything?

If you can get your ACT up, you’ll have a good shot at getting into at least one of your top choice schools. When I read your list, nothing really pops, but you seem like a great, all around student and a good kid, and there are lots of schools that would love to have you.

thank you! I’ve been practice testing a lot and I generally get around a 32-33. Is this sufficient?
