Giving yourself extra time on the SAT 2's

What would keep someone from only taking one subject test on a test day, then not leaving when they ask who is done taking their tests, and sit for an extra 2 hours and check all their answers or modify their writing essay?

Well, they collect your essay after the 1st hour. I don't know about other tests though.

thats right they do collect the essay first, but one could still work on other tests or other portions of the writing test.

good point ch93657, i should have thought of that before i took my sat iis, oh well.

because you'd have to sign up for two tests to be there for two hours? hmm
I'm sure they have something to prevent that from happening

smart procs. will actually check that you have completed the correct amount of tests you were supposed to take. One kid got busted for doing that, and i'm to blame because I suggested this cheat.

beramod, what happend to that kid who got busted? And oh, I didn't recall that the proctor of the room I was taking SAT II at actually checked every student if they were supposed to still be there. I think, as you said, it depends on the proctor, and once in a while, you might be able to get away with it.

The kid actually got EXPELLED from my school (our guidence cousleor always checks how everything is going, and the proctor told her), but appealed and got back in. CB just canceled her scores. I bet CB knows that kids can cheat like this on the SATII's, but the procs are just too damn lazy to check.

EDIT: oh and our guidence counselor told him that she would write that he had cheated on every recommendation. But he isn't applying to ivy's or anything.

wow that sounds really harsh. i know many people that have gotten away with the extra time. i've taken my sat/sat II at several different h.s.'s and they've never checked to see if you were signed up for another test or not.

the easiest way to cheat for a math sat2 is just writing answers on a calc and handing it to someone else during the break. CB could just stop bathroom breaks.
