Global History & Geography Regents June 2017

@TestFinesseGod ya i put the zen buddhism too. All the other answers didn’t seem right

@Ghrgntsux85 ugh i put down mussolini then i changed it crap

im pretty sure it was absolute monarchy and Louis XIV because it said “the king” on the wrist

@Ghrgntsux85 for the question talking about population growth i put access to waterways

what was the question about the tokugawa shogunate

what was the answer to the chinese invention question?

Hey everyone who took the test today, I have a question and im kinda freaking out. So I did the thematic essay first on nationalism and wrote it on Hitler and Kwame Nkrumah. I did the dbq’s and the dbq essay last. I just now realized that one of the dbq’s spoke a little bit about Hitler and I forgot to check whether we could use Hitler in the thematic or not! Does anyone remember anything?? I’m really worried. Thanks guys.

@WorldStareezy01 Yes, as long as the individual unified his country through nationalism and isn’t about the U.S. then anyone was allowed

(Just gonna try and catch up a little here)
Chinese invention- Gunpowder
Hand grabbing cartoon- absolute monarchy, Louis XIV (Mussolini wasn’t technically absolutist, he was totalitarian fascist)
Art, flowers etc in Japan- Zen Buddhism
Population density- access to waterways
Tokugawa Question- they gave the Treaty of Kanagawa between Matthew Perry and Japan. The result was the fall of the Tokugawa

@WorldStareezy01 you can use anyone in the Thematic even if they’re not listed in the “suggested individuals” (i used Louis XIV and Hitler) as long as they’re not American

Who ever chose John Locke you weren’t because it said at the bottom of the thematic essay to not choose an individual from the United states

Okay thank you!!

Thank you, I was really freaking out

I’m pretty sure the answer with Zen Buddhism question was Daoism, which is harmoney with nature.

@TaliaScott John Locke isn’t from the US, he’s British. He was allowed to be in the essay

John Locke is from England @TaliaScott

No @alexith33 Zen Buddhism was very important in china. Haikus are a form of zen buddhism.

the one about zen buddhism is correct. daoism is was the second closest answer but the flower garden and rocks stuff is more focused on buddhism and taoism

@J1234567890 Wait, for the Tokugawa question. Didn’t they modernize after the treaty? If I remember correctly that was an option.

@TestFinesseGod I put China closed its borders for the Zheng He question
