Do you think its opportune to take the GMAT during December of your Junior Year? I'm a very good standardized test taker, and got a 700 on a ManhattanGMAT practice one (they are trying to sell you there service, so i doubt they'd inflate). I figure it will make my resume look better if I have a 700+ on it. On the flip side, will they be like "*** why'd you take it so early, it might expire before you apply" or will they think its a sad attempt to impress them?

From what I heard, GMAT doesn't affect your resume unless it is 750+, and even then the difference is minor (this is assuming you are going for IB).

Yeah... I'd guess they would probably think it is some lame attempt to impressive them. What would the GMAT measure anyway? Intelligence? You have your GPA for that. You have your SAT as well. You'd be the only junior with a GMAT score, and banks might think you're some crazy academic overachiever...

Plus the other reasons, it might very well expire before you go to bschool... the earliest you should be taking it is senior year
