Hey, I will be at Stevenson as well =)

I loved Stevenson's, but being my last year I needed a quieter place to study, so I'm living in the Village this coming quarter. It wasn't that Stevenson's is loud, although it does have its moments, I lived by the knoll last quarter and that's where all the smokers would hang out, sometimes the smoke would drift into open windows and it would get pretty loud. And I would argue it has some of the best views on campus, plus your close to the Pogonip (ask around and you'll learn about Eden in the Pogo.)
As far as reps. all the Colleges are pretty much the same, don't believe the lame stereotypes about "hippies," almost 90% of the "hippies" are kids from Orange County living off of mom and dad's money, and for most it's just a phase. I grew up about 30 minutes from Santa Cruz, so I have a different view than most of the students. If you want to really experience Santa Cruz make friends with the "real people," ya know the ones who don't live on the hill or actually work and juggle class. And if you surf this will be a good in for some the more local surf spots, cause people think that local surfers are all chill, but most are really protective of their spots and HATE UCSC kids and tourists. The lighthouse may be the best to meet people and "get invited" to spots, but if you just show up out on Hwy 1 you may get some ****.
