Hey guys... I've taken the SAT twice. In January of last year, I got a 700 flat, and got a 710 in June. If you got 750+, what helped you get that last bump? I'm taking it again in October.

Thanks!

I got a 710 on the first SAT test and then 750 on my second time. Personally, I feel that improving math scores is all about practice. I would find some official SAT math practice questions and work through them diligently until the October test date.

Also, if I remember correctly, the difference between a 710 and a 750 was two questions. Two more questions and I would’ve gotten an 800

first time i took the SATi got a 600 in math.Second time i took it i got a 750.The only thing i did was a bunch of practice tests and CHECK what i got wrong on those i got incorrect. After you get used to doing that for awhile, youll realize that its just the same general questions over and over again just with the numbers switched around.

math is basically practice. if you familiarize yourself with the question types, they will be repeated but in a different number oriented style. there are usually trap questions, but once you get around the traps, you will learn from your mistakes, and sometimes when i learn from a trap, and i see a new question with a similar trap, my brain clicks on and saids. HEY HEY!!! HEY!!! stop right there, remember last time? you fell into that pit!!! walk this way to get around it. Math is kinda like that. That’s how i went from a 680->710->760 or 780.

:) there isn’t much you can do without following my advice and steps i just said.

Practice, practice, and more practice. Math is probably the easiest section to get 800 on.

Practice as much as you can and when the test day comes make sure you use all your available time to double check your answers. I went from ~650ish to 760 doing this. Only studied for like 20 hours too.

If you finish each section quickly, redo all the questions. This may seem tedious but it helped me get from 700s to 800.
