I applied for the fall 2010 semester as a freshman for the College of Chemistry: Chemical Engineering. However, I wish to change to the College of Letters and Sciences for the Pre-business major. I intend to go into business.

So never mind that I should have applied to business in the first place. I had a change of heart. =[

If I got accepted to the CoC: chem E, is it possible to change my college and major BEFORE i start my first semester? Would it be easy? thanks.

There is no official pre-business major. Anyone from any college can take Haas prereqs and apply for Haas. There is a pre-conception that you need to be in L&S to apply for Haas, but I don’t know of any college restriction.

so transferring from CoC to L&S should be relatively simple yes?

Haas is not really in L&S. But yes transferring from CoC to L&S isn’t that hard, but I dunno about how to go about doing it before CalSO.

SO? Spring Orientation or?

It’s Student Orientation, not Spring Orientation.
Do not worry, CoC has the most drop-out rate of all colleges (b/c Chem 4a is brutal and is a weeder class that kills almost everyone’s gpa including mine) and getting into L&S is the easiest out of all colleges. I have seen some people who change it during CalSO which is during summer, but you can change it anytime during fall.
But be careful, pre-business can get even more intense than CoC since you’re pressured to get a good gpa for 2 years.

I live on competition
