Riiiiiiiight....

I saw this Asian frat once throw what I assume to have been a new pledgie into the frothy, yucky water fountain near Kroeber once. The victim was carried by a mob of 10-15 "brothers" and struggling to get out of their grasp. I feel bad for him but I suppose that's what can happen to you when you try to join a frat.

Personally, I don't think I'd ever want to join a frat. There are other ways to get the connections you need.

asian frats are notoriously hard hazers for the record

yeah - there are a bunch that don't haze too bad

I think that frats which are part of the inter fraternity council and others should be distinguished, yes?

Pledging in ethnic frats is harder, from what i hear. It takes longer, but from what i hear you really get to know your brothers. Some frats take a couple of weeks and you're in. You really dont bond with anyone. I may be wrong, but this is what i've heard from ppl.

Ask around. I know students that are in frats that never had hazing problems, but there's also many stories about frats that do haze. You have to choose wisely.
