Ok, I remember last year going crazy about waiting to hear about NASS, but waiting to hear about an appointment does not compare to that AT ALL. I'm about 99.99% sure that there are a ton of anxiously waiting candidates to hear about their status. So, if anyone has advice for how to keep our heads on straight, please do so and post it for us.

My wait right now has been a rollercoaster ride. I've heard that analogy used many times before, and I fully understand why so many people here use it. Every day waiting to find out about my medical waiver is different. Some days I'm convinced that I'm not going to get it and then other days I'm confident that everything is going to work out. Is there ANY way to just keep our cool? Stop worrying? I'm more worried about my medical issue than about my AP tests. My teacher told us that since we all got our college letters a few days ago, that it was not a reason to forget about preparing for AP tests since that's the "most important thing" at the moment. Of course I had to say no, some of us are perpetually waiting. :p (Teacher laughed, since her daughter went to AFA and knows everything about my wait)

Everyone keeps saying that it's going to turn out well in the end. But what if it doesn't? Should we/I prepare for that now? Or should we wait until we finally know, because worrying about it might not be necessary if the appointment comes... Meanwhile, I have to prevent myself from biting the heads off of people who say "I heard you got into USNA!" No, that was just an LOA. Most of the time I manage to be nice and explain to them the whole medical situation.

This post might be somewhat pointless, now that I think about it. But maybe other people in my situation will come and share their worries.
