Yea, I did commit a fallacy of over exaggerating that you would be screwed

I know this is a great place for advice, but sometimes when you got two people debating eachother instead of working on a conclusion statement to give advice, It can end up confusing the person who is in question and in search of an answer. I appreciate the help, but im more confused than ever now.

illicitx,

Well, I think that it IS complicated...though I do apologize for the tangent.

I think you should worry less and enjoy your undergrad studies more. Trust me, it all works out in the long run.

You can take almost any major and still get into law school.

Bio, Econ, Poli Sci, whatever. Just do well on Lsat and your fine.

Pick something you like, but the majority of lawyers I know either majored in Poli Sci or Econ.

nspeds, i never said it was fact.

use your common sense, and you'd see its just my observation.

i didn't know opinions aren't allowed in forums.

and to the OP, why are you confused?

the answer is simple.

major in what you want and get good grades.

case closed.

illicitx,
it realy depends on what UC you are going to...if you plan to go to UCB, they have a law studies undergraduate program, however it cannot be your exclusive major, they have it listed as a double major, which is what I plan to do if I get in. I chose Sociology as my primary major, because when I spoke in depth to several law professors they said that the law schools do not look for any specific undergraduate major and pretty much what ilovecal said that you need to major in something you will enjoy and do well on both your LSAT & GPA.
As far as working while in law school, again that depends on where you plan to go...not all law schools have that requirement. My co-worker is in law school right now & works 40 hrs a week, however keep in mind that he is not doing very well primarily because of that. You might just have to take the hit & live on F/A while in school.
