Going to Cal Home Football Game for 1st Time

I haven't been to Memorial Stadium yet and wanted to see a home game with my husband. I checked out the Cal Football website but still have questions. Any help would be appreciated!

Can non-students sit in the Cal student section with a Cal student?

If so, can the non-student use a student ticket?

Is it okay to buy tickets off of StubHub?

I saw some tickets in Row 1 near the 30 yard line. Can you see over the heads of the people standing on the field if you're sitting in Row 1?

Any advice on where NOT to sit?

Any other suggestions about choosing where to sit or getting tickets?

Thanks!

technically no. they give wristbands to students that lets them get into the student section. but if you sit in another section and then cut across the middle of the bleachers when it gets crowded, who will know? ;)

No, non-students can’t get student tickets

Yes-- I bought a ticket from stubhub for my non-student boyfriend.

not sure, i’ve never sit that close.

honestly you’re gonna be able to see everything just fine. don’t worry about it :)

definitely try to sit in the student section if you can “sneak in” it’s way more fun!

have fun, enjoy the game, and go bears! :)

Hi Sunshinejf,

Thanks for the info! I didn’t get your reply until just now. We went to the USC vs Cal game today. It was really fun!

I bought tickets on StubHub with instant printing for the tickets. I couldn’t download the tickets for some reason so StubHub customer service emailed them to me as email attachments, and they printed out fine. We sat in Section TT in a row in the mid-40s, which worked out great. We could see the whole field, no problem. In the future, I’d probably try to get seats closer to the aisle because getting in and out from the middle was a hassle. After the game, we walked down to check out the view from the first few rows. It looked like you could probably see over the heads of the people on the side of the field but wouldn’t have nearly as good a view of the entire field of play as you do up higher.

Thanks again!
