Going to college and I want a job in consulting?

I want to do managerial consulting. What degree set would you reccomend? I plan on going to Indiana's kelley school next year. I was thinking of majoring in economic consulting, public policy, and finance. Aside from this do you ahve any other advice to ensure that I am successful in finding one of these jobs by graduation?

Just get into all of the most selective things you can. Consulting firms will hire you if you’re good, but you’ll need to show you’re talented to be called in for an interview.

Transfer to an ivy league school and work on your quant skills. Consulting is arguably more difficult to get into than investment banking out of college and pedigree means a helluva lot more in it, so I’d say do everything you can to get into an ivy, then network.
