Hello, I am a rising senior in high school. I have all my credits to graduate and I was wondering whether it was possible for me to apply to Georgia tech for spring 2017. This means I would only attend one semester of senior year. Would I have any issues with the high school and would the college allow this?
Since none of us work at your HS we have no idea. Ask the GC at school. Do you have all your required courses (not just number of credits)?
They might but you would miss out on most of the major scholarship options. Those are awarded for fall starts.
It is impossible to know your high school’s policy. But, why would you want to miss out on senior spring!!! You’d be giving up prom, graduation, the final weeks of school with your friends, road rally, just to name a few things…Even if you haven’t completely loved high school (as has happened to some of my recently graduated friends), the final weeks of senior year is your final chance to make a mark on your school. Its when some of the best memories are formed. I would strongly advise against giving up on that.
