Going to prom stag -- worth it or should I just not go?

it depends on your friends and just your overall confidence going into this dance.
if your friends are the type of people who aren't on the dance floor the entire night and would rather sit down and just talk, then it won't really matter whether or not you go stag. but if they are the type who want to get down, then you'll be solo for most of the time. and this brings me to the next point.
even if you go stag, you can still basically find a date or several for the night. i dont know if you have enough confidence to approach a girl or enough appeal for a girl to let you dance with her, so that's your decision.

a week and a half?

thats plenty of time to find a date...just ask one of your (girl) friends
im sure there are a lot of girls looking for a date!

what the hell chipset. 'Jewish' is a RELIGION...the religion of judaism. they are not a race, lol...

**Thanks for the advice everyone! :) **okay guys im going stag with a group of friends (all of which have dates, but most of these 'dates' are just friends who are of the opposite gender) plus we aren't the type who dance like animals all the time so it should be fun :) i know some girls are goin in a group of girls on their own so maybe i'll ask one of them to dance during the actual thing. how should i go about doing that? ;P

KOQ, jewish can mean religion or race. Obviously, converting to judaism doesn't make you cheap. But having your father and part of your mother jewish makes you (me) cheap as hell :</p>

not to hijack this thread or anything...but "jewish" is ethnoreligious. It's not defined by race, nor by religion...but by both.

as for you, dt_, it's no problem to ask the girls to dance. You can prepare all you want, but once you're out having fun, you'll honestly feel no fear going up and asking the girls to dance...have fun :)
