how good is the business school at emory for undergrad? are there any good business honors programs they offer?

The B-School is one of the top five in the country.
There is no 'honors program' at Emory. You won't find an honors program at most top private schools. The only way to graduate with honors is to write an honors thesis senior year.

ok thanks for the info! can you tell me where i can find the rankings that list goizeuta as five, and what its individual major/programs of study might be ranked?

Those are the overall rankings from business week. USN&WR has it ranked very differently, IIRC.

I don't have the rankings for each program, but maybe someone else can help

how difficult is it to get into the business school after spending your first two years at emory/oxford college. what is the acceptance rate? and, how much more difficult is it to transfer there?

The b-school is just a two year program at Emory. Everyone has to do a basic set of liberal arts requirements before applying to the b-school. The application process is normally done for admission to the b-school for the fall of your third year, although some apply early and get in as 2nd semester sophomores. I know plenty of people who went bschool after Oxford. I don't know the particular acceptance rate but most people say if you have around a 3.4 at Emory you're pretty set, between a 3.0-3.4 you'd have to do really well in the interview, and below 3.0 try again later. For Oxford, the standards may be a little higher. For an external transfer, the standards are probably very high.

if you were applying to the b-school after attending emory/oxford for two years, would they look at your EC's, community service, leadership, etc. accrued while in college? would that be part of their criteria for admissions?

-there are no bschool interviews, unless you are waitlisted.
-a gpa at or above 3.5 is good, but it's not a guarantee (i know people with 3.6 and got waitlisted).
-It is easier (from what i've heard) to get into the bschool from Oxford.

so what else do they look at besides GPA?

GPA is by far the most important factor. On the app they ask for your EC's, SAT, and grades in all your previous classes. These aren't as important, except for your grades in the b-school pre-req's. But a very good gpa can offset average grades in b-school pre-req's.

What about ACT scores instead of SAT score?

I live 45 minutes away from Oxford, so I know a good amount of people there.

If you've completed Oxford with a 3.5 or more gpa your chances for Goizueta are really high, not guaranteed, but really high. This doesn't mean if you have less than 3.5 you're not going to get in. 80% of Oxford kids who applied to Goizueta got in, for the 08 - 09 + 09 - 10 terms.

Has anyone successfully transferred to Goizueta business school from another college?
