So I'm attending Emory Goizueta this fall, and I wanted to know whether it's unheard of to go to law school afterwards. I'm still pretty undecided, but law school seems enticing, because I am pretty interested in the field. I've heard that most B-school students work as soon as they get out, and that some get an MBA later on. I don't really feel like majoring in econ at Emory College and then going to Law School, because I do want to explore all the different area depths in the B-School (marketing, legal envr, finance, real est). I am planning on taking more English courses because I love writing, am a writing tutor, etc. etc.

I just want to know if anyone knows of people who have gone to the Emory B-School and then Law School. PLEASE LET ME KNOW, thanks so much! :)

Quick clarification: you are attending Emory college in the Fall (unless you are already a student). You won't enter Guizueta B-School until your Junior year.
Now to your question. Yes, there are people who go from the B-School to Law school. I know of someone who graduated this year from the B-School and will be attending Harvard Law School in the Fall.

I am a junior, so I will be attending Goizueta in the fall, like i said. And I just wanted to know if someone who went to B-school later went to law school because he was disinterested in his/her work after B-school, or found a way to combine his/her interests from business, and then applied it in Law.

The only thing Law school really cares about is your LSAT and then undergrad gpa, not what you majored in. I know that emory offers some kind of joint JD/MBA program. I don't think a lot of people choose to go straight to law school after goizueta simply because people that go to goizueta are more career focused and want to start working after graduation.

adamani, i know about the joint program, which is offered in many colleges, and i know of friends who ditched going to B-school to do that program. But I wanted to plunge into Business early on, in case I found something else interesting (such as marketing and communications) and not wait 2 years before joining such a program; I want to have the option of a stable career after graduation.

tron, thanks for your response. I know that most people in the business school are career-focused, as am I right now. I guess I'm just trying to see if anyone has experience (or knows someone who has) of going to undergrad business school and then law school. I want about the details of how it worked out for them, the drawbacks, etc.
