Goizueta v. Tepper

I was accepted at both Emory and Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon, and I have two questions for any current Tepper students or anyone who knows about the school. Business Week rates Emory higher, but ratings certainly aren't everything. Does anyone know how these two business schools compare?

As well, how challenging and informing are the business courses? I have observed some college business courses, and some of them seem to teach either common sense (well guys... in business you wanna try to sell things) or kind of impractical (memorizing the "5 P's of Marketing!").

Isn't it odd that people in business and business leaders did not go to business school but hired business people to do the mundane things while the owners enjoy the profits and the (losses).

Bumping so I can get responses to this thread. DS #2 is in same situation.

@ emory you dont enter the business school until your junior year. @ tepper i think you start as a sophomore. the nice thing about tepper is that its very small. the nice thing about emory is that you can select from multiple majors, wheres tepper is business administration only.

IMO, Tepper.
