Kid from my school got top #40 at IchO this year (silver medal). No US team members got gold (went to China and Russia). Going to MIT.

Half of RSI got pwned by Harvard this year. On the other hand RSI = lock at MIT.

i personally know IMO and IOI medalists (repeat gold medalists, no less) who have also been rejected from harvard and other prestigious places.

I dunno if you're talking about Eric Price, but I heard he got rejected mainly because he didn't really want to go to Harvard - he wanted to go to MIT instead. And I guess Harvard somehow got that.

btw, NOBODY from the US. IChO team has gotten a gold medal for at least three years. the pattern has always been, for some reason, three silvers and a bronze. This year, 2007, is no exception. I personally know all four team members this year, so the person's son (from the top of the page...forget name, sorry) is not from here. What country is he from?

that being said, he has an incredibly great chance of getting in, provided that he has decent everything else...just as everyone else has said above me.

The OP's son is from Canada
