I guess percent wise what chacne do i have of getting in?
BQ: Where are some good places to try to get scholarships/ finanicail aid? both schools are around 30-35,000 dollars a year because im out of state.
Thanks for help or input

Not a high enough GPA, not enough EC activities, not enough community service hours. Any AP classes? Sorry but it seems too far fetched, unless you have a trick under your sleeve?I think you should start off at a community college and work your way up the chain. Just prove that you can turn yourself around! You have the passion, now find the determination.

I’m not sure if i’ll get accepted, but i’m also applying to both schools. However, I got a 3.6 GPA, passed two AP exams +another AP class, 6 years credit for languages, 800 hours of community service, Model UN Club, Environmental Club, Keyclub, and VP of the Latino Club.I only took the PSAT but i’m trying to improve my 1650 score by taking a class and such. Even with all that, I’m still not positive that i’ll get accepted! It’s so stressful :(

I’d really look at other schools, man. To be brutally honest, it’s not looking good for you at these two; for sure apply, but make sure you have other options. Please reconsider looking at the CSUs; they are cheaper and more realistic.

You should also get on top of that SAT. Are you signed up for the upcoming June one?

Haven’t signed up yet

I took 2 APS and failed 1 got a C in the other

Well then, hurry up and sign up for it!

I think you need to seriously reconsider only applying to these two schools. They are both HIGHLY competitive, and as you said, expensive to those who are OOS (I think they might actually cost more than what you listed). Go ahead and apply to them, but also apply to safeties (finances and admission-wise). Financial aid is usually provided by the school, unless you qualify for government grants/loans, and it’d be hard getting a scholarship since you don’t have a particularly outstanding academic record (especially in the context of those two schools), nor do you have much EC involvement. I don’t mean to be harsh, but 5 hours of community service is basically nothing compared to the people who have hundreds.

Also, you say that when you don’t do well in classes you tend to give up. If so, are you really sure you want to go to those universities? Because you WILL be challenged, and there WILL be classes that you struggle with.
