Pick Gonzaga University! You won’t be disappointed, you will develop amazing friendships, great team spirit, a wonderful community environment and nurses are in high demand with a GU diploma.

Signed, a biased, but happy mom!

@Frisco Mom, I am really leaning toward Gonzaga! haha, i’ll let you know what i choose! I’m just a little scared of the weather, otherwise everything sounds great!!

When I read your post … I thought my own daughter must have posted … since she is a very similar position. We live in the Bay area and she has been accepted in to the nursing programs at USF, Seattle, Portland & Gonzaga. So far we’ve visited all except USF.
Gonzaga - whilst she loved the strong school spirit, she was worried that it was too small town for her, and too much like high school.
Seattle - she absolutely loved.
Portland - she loved, but it took two visits to convince her.
USF - she feels may be too close to home.
My questions is do any of these colleges have a better reputation.
Financially Seattle is the best bet, followed by Portland and USF is the most expensive. Any advice would be great … thanks

@gillfarmer,
I believe that UP and Seattle U both have very strong nursing programs. I believe those two are the strongest. I think its really important that your daughter likes and feels comfortable wherever she goes. It sounds like she loves Seattle so that may be a place that would be easier for her to thrive. Personally, i don’t like living in a big city, so the fact that Gonzaga was in a small town was actually a positive for me. It all really depends on ones personal preference! I know Seattle has a very strong nursing program and has a lot of hospitals near by (Seattle U is on “Pill Hill”) which would be great for volunteering, internships, etc. It sounds like your daughter really loves Seattle and if they are all close in price, i would go with that one! But again, all of the schools you mentioned have excellent nursing programs so it really depends mostly on personal preference and where you feel comfortable! Hope i helped. Good luck with your decision and let me know what you choose! :)
