Gonzaga is a very nice Catholic university in eastern Washington. Academically solid, I'd put it slightly behind Santa Clara and Univ. of San Diego when comparing it to other west coast Catholic U's. Students tend to be on the conservative side and career oriented (there are, obviously, exceptions to this); the administration is definitely conservative. Good name recognition with employers in the pacific northwest and throughout much of California. I consider Gonzaga a very good academic value for those who don't mind attending a religiously affiliated school (and keep in mind that there is no requirement for attending church services, etc.)

Thank you all so much! I am really interested in creative writing, but I see that they have no creative writing major. In that case I would like to major in English, but be more focused on writing. Does anyone know anything about the English department? And how religious is religious? Do the students ever party? Are the liberals shunned? Etc...

Thanks for any information that you have :)

My uncle went there, and I used to know someone who's going there now...and I've been through Spokane a coupla times...but yeah, that's about it.

Hey, your question was vague ;)

wow, how rare, a conservative school :)

yeah we better get some liberals a flight out there to go riot around the school for low ethnic diversity

I'm on it! Get me my blow horn...
