Financial Aid?

Does anyone know how good Gonzaga is w/ financial aid?
I really love Gonzaga, but money is a gigantic issue.

My grades aren’t beyond amazing. I think I’ll have a 3.5 UW by the end of this (junior) year, so I don’t think I’ll get any scholarships.
I’ve gone to a catholic school all my life, and my parents make a combined <90k a year.

my gpa was about 3.5uw and i got 32K merit award 8k/year

Really?
What were your other stats?
Any special circumstances?

SAT wasnt very good
550 reading 600 math and 540 writing

but i had a lot of extra curricular
and my essays were REALLY GOOD

i was also first generation college student which i heard they factor alot

Yeah, the first generation college student thing is a big deal.
Thanks for your help.
I'll just hope I'm as lucky as you, or luckier next year w/ scholarships.

I have a 3.9 gpa and 1070 sat 29 act. and they are giving me 14,000 merit scholarship a year plus 3500 gonzaga funding. I did not apply for any other scholarships, wished I had. i received almost 32000 in financial aid, including loans so basically I can’t afford to attend zag cuz my parents don’t have 10000 to pay for the difference.

But your gpa is pretty good.
I can only dream to get that much aid!

looking for finanacial aid, try the schools outside of California. as the CA schools in general seem to be much much more popular, and therefore you need to have much higher stats in order to get any money.

my daughter (not stellar stats) got small amount of money from Gonzaga and University of Portland (Catholic, not jesuit, but Brothers of the Holy Cross, like Notre Dame, beautiful school, loved it there!). Also, try Seattle University, Creighton, and if you are female, Saint Mary’s College Indiana, across the street from Notre Dame, is a GREAT school and does not feel single sex due to ND being right there - it is like one big school.

Thanks. I’ve actually looked at all the schools you named. Except Creighton and Saint Mary’s, but only because my parents want me closer to home than that.
