I'm trying to figure out whether it would be an essay that I could write, but I'm having trouble figuring out whether topics would reflect negatively or positively. Like, for instance, a Middle School suspension that helped me prioritize things clearly. Or not doing too well for the first year of High School and then turning oneself around, realizing that these things are worth doing, and stuff like that.

I guess, "Not doing first year well in HS..." should be fine, BTW i wrote about an earthquake.

Again, it entirely depends on you, if you feel that a certain topic will bring the best out of you in front of the ADCOMS, then go ahead and plunge right into it.

I decided on topic B, and I'm incorporating the bad Freshmen year and how my High School community has contributed to changing that, as well as changed me as a person.

^I'm also doing question B, but I need a little help on it. I wanted to use my "describe someone's influence on you" essay from Princeton (which I used for Yale and Harvard), but I think I may have to tweak it a bit in order to make it fit MITs prompt more fully
