does anyone known any good australian or canadian schools?

The usual Canadian suspects are McGill, University of Toronto and University of British Columbia (UBC), depending on what you are looking for (other places might be more appropriate in certain circumstances).

There's an "international" forum that has some threads about best schools from each country if you go back far enough.

Queen's University in Canada is also very good. In Australia, check out U of Sydney, U of Melbourne, Australian National U. If you want to turn heads the rest of your life, go to the U of Tasmania in Australia.

UBC- med, sciences
SFU(simon fraser) - good undergrad, sucky for grad.
Toronto - good overall, especially engineering
mcgill- well rounded, english speaking uni in a french area.
queens- econ
waterloo- computer science
wastern ontario- honor's econ

UBC is top in Canada for econ, next best is Toronto.

In Australia, look at the Group of Eight as well as Bond University which is popular with U.S. students on exchange.
