good canadian college: seneca, centenial and humber

are those in British Columbia?

Those are in Toronto mostly I think... but they're not Universities, they're colleges. University of Victoria, University of BC, and Simon Fraser University are the main ones in BC.

UBC is usually considered the 3rd best in Canada after Toronto and McGill...and UBC is in Vancouver...probably the most beautiful city in the world with mountains to one side and the ocean on the other.

I wouldn't consider UBC to be the 3rd best in Canada. That honour would go to Queen's, and I think most people would agree.

U Vic is an excellent school and I would apply there in a heartbeat. There is not all that much spread between Canadian schools. One looks at specific programmes within schools. At the honours degree level the programmes are very good. There is nothing to choose between Dalhousie, Toronto, Queen's, Western, McMaster, UBC,Saskatchewan, Alberta and McGill. These are full service 'state' type universities comparable to Wisconsin or Michigan. One step down in comprehensiveness but not in quality I would recommend you look at Acadia, Mount Allison, Trent, Victoria which all have fairly high admission standards and attract the same kind of students that in the US would go to a good LAC. If you are into special honours programmes, look at Arts 1 at UBC or the Foundation Year at King's in Halifax ( on the campus of Dalhousie) Kings, was the original Columbia University which moved to Canada after the revolution

whartaloo is the third one without a doudt

I was looking into Victoria cause it's somewhat close to home and they seem to put more emphasis on class grades then standarized test. My grades are good but my SAT is horrible.

bump bum bump
