good, bad or ?- call for first quarter grades

what do you think it means if the admissions dept. called for your first quarter grades last Friday?

it means i'm screwed, cause mine weren't so hot - it probably just means they want to see how you're doing this year, if you decided to slack off now that you're a senior. i wouldn't worry, they do'nt make much of a difference.

id say thats a good thing, it means they are really interested in how you are doing and that they didnt toss you out right away. :)
welcome to the yale family

I was pretty worried that Yale would call for my sub-par first quarter grades, but they haven't.

I wonder, am I safe now?

I wish they would call. I got REALLY good grades this 1st quarter.

Ambrosia, as far as I know they didn't call for mine. But I, too, got awesome first quarter grades, so I had them faxed over to Yale. I dunno if it's too late or not, but you might want to do the same. :)

Is it bad if they didn't call? Does that mean I'm already rejected?

Of course not! Don't be silly :p

What are "awesome" first quarter grades? Are 6 As and 1 B awesome or just good or just okayish? Is that worth sending?

Its probably too late to send them now. I wouldn't worry about it.

the grades were all A's so I'm hoping it only helped...

Yeah, I sent my first quarter grades to them, too. Mine were good, as well. All A's. :)

Probably good... if they weren't interested, they wouldn't bother calling.
