good Bio school?

So... I am looking for some universities really good in biological sciences, but out of those TOP20s...cuz i don't have the grades.
The perfect college for me would be close or in a nice town, with good environment and interesting people, and has a good reputation in Biology.
I heard that Colorado@Boulder is a great one...but can anyone please tell me some others? like.......?

I really want to major in Biology...i have this enthusiasm on my subject.

really appreciate ur help.

University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Washington-Seattle. Colorado is also a good one, as you mentioned.

No one can give you an accurate answer until you give use your stats (gpa, sat/act scores, ECs, recs)

And how are we suppose to know what schools are "close" to you if you don't tell us what area you are in?

are you only considering large universities? what about smaller schools?

Thank u very much!! smaller schools are also fine, of course.
here is my situation:
No sats/act, No gpa.... I am a Chinese student under the British system:

Look at my alma mater, College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass (west of Boston). Holy Cross is a top 30 liberal arts college well known for the sciences. HC is currently undertaking a $60,000,000 expansion/refurbishment of its science complex. 2,700 students on a beautiful campus. HC is a great pre-med school with about 85% acceptance at med schools, double the national average as I understand things.

How do you have no gpa? colleges wont even look at ur app if u have no hs diploma or gpa

This is blatantly untrue. There are even high schools in the US which do not give grades or GPA, and a couple of my friends at MIT attended them. And certainly most colleges understand the grading systems of other countries, which do not always use GPA.

The Common Data Set for each school tells whether it requires a HS diploma. Some do, some don't.

However, to the OP, I think you will need SAT or ACT scores. You can take them outside the US.

In the east...
Allegheny College
Rensalaer Polytechnic Institute
Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Case Western Reserve University
Ohio Wesleyan University
U of New Hampshire
SUNY Plattsburgh
College of Wooster

Tufts and Holy Cross.

Most of the schools in the Patriot League would be outstanding choices:

excerpt from their web page: http://patriotleague.cstv.com/
The Patriot League, which was founded on the principles of admitting athletes who are academically representative of their class, is in its second decade of academic and athletic achievement. Participation in athletics at Patriot League institutions is viewed as an important component of a well-rounded education. The Patriot League began in 1986. Full League members include American, Army, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy. Associate members include Fordham (football) and Georgetown (football). These member institutions are among the oldest and most prestigious in the nation. Alumni from Patriot League colleges and universities have played a leadership role in the shaping of our country.

It should provide you with a list of 40 small schools with detailed profiles, and it's broken up by geography. The author mentions which ones have noteworthy bio programs.
